CPR/AED, First Aid, Bloodborne Pathogen's training courses

Below are the descriptions for each of the training classes offered by the Copley Fire & Rescue Association

    All courses are instructed by American Heart Association
    trained and certified instructors 

    Please choose which course you are interested in or choose "Other" if you are unsure and we can help you.
    Please complete all fields so that we may contact you.
    Our courses are held at 4570 Medina Rd. (Copley Fire Station #2) However, in-house classes may be held at local business locations if the appropriate environment permits.

​2025 Class schedule

AHA "BLS Provider and Heartsaver®" CPR classes are held at our Stony Hill Station at 4570 Medina Road in Copley. Residents and businesses alike will receive certification in CPR and AED through a class conducted by Copley Fire Department personnel. Regularly scheduled classes are held on a bi-monthly basis (dates and times below). If you have a group of 5 or more, we can schedule a class date and time that works for you and the instructors. The class costs $35 per person, which helps pay for the card and equipment used in the class. 

For regularly scheduled classes, please sign up by the 1st of the month so we can plan for classroom accommodations.

Heartsaver CPR AED Course Options

What does this course teach?
*Describe how high-quality CPR improves survival
*Explain the concepts of the Chain of Survival
*Recognize when someone needs CPR
*Perform high-quality CPR for an adult
*Describe how to perform CPR with help from others
*Give effective breaths using mouth-to-mouth or a mask for all age groups
*Demonstrate how to use an AED on an adult
*Perform high-quality CPR for a child*
*Demonstrate how to use an AED on a child*
*Perform high-quality CPR for an infant*
*Describe when and how to help a choking adult or child
*Demonstrate how to help a choking infant*
-Child and infant modules are optional.

Is AHA Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR AED the right course for me?

Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR AED is geared towards anyone involved in childcare who have a duty to respond to illnesses and injuries in a child or infant in the first few minutes until professional help arrives. Including: childcare workers, teachers, camp counselors, etc. Upon successful completion of the course, students receive a course completion card, valid for two years. Please contact your employer to ensure that you are selecting the correct course.

AHA Family & Friends CPR

The Family & Friends CPR Course teaches the lifesaving skills of adult Hands-Only CPR, adult CPR with breaths, child CPR with breaths, adult and child AED use, infant CPR, and mild and severe airway block for adults, children, and infants. Skills are taught in a dynamic group environment using the AHA’s research-proven practice-while-watching technique, which provides students with the most hands-on CPR practice time possible.
