At the April 22nd Board of Trustees Meeting, the Copley Township Board of Trustees recognized the Copley Fire Department "A" Shift for their Outstanding Performance and Service during a vehicle accident and fire on December 18, 2023. The incident occurred on Rt. 21 N, where a driver was trapped in a burning vehicle. Due to the prompt and effective response of the Copley FD "A" Shift, the driver was successfully rescued.
Commendations for a job well done were extended to Lt. Mike Kamp, Lt. Jonathan Smith, FF Brian O'Connell, FF Andy Howell, FF Matt Beck, FF Chris Morrison, and FF Will Hetzel. The members of the Copley Fire & Rescue Association express their pride and gratitude, acknowledging how fortunate they are to have such dedicated professionals on their team.

Congratulations and Welcome to Matthew Sinopoli, the newest full-time Firefighter/Medic with Copley Township Fire Department. Matt was sworn in at the Trustee meeting on February 26th, 2024.

🏅 On 2/12/24, these dedicated Firefighter/Medics were honored for their exceptional service to the community. They were lauded for their high-quality prehospital trauma and cardiac care, which directly resulted in a positive outcome for a patient in need.
During a recent emergency call involving a burn victim, their keen assessment skills went above and beyond. Recognizing signs and symptoms of a stroke, they made the swift and critical decision to divert to Cleveland Clinic Akron General, a facility specialized in stroke care. This decisive action ensured the patient received the priority and specialized treatment necessary for their condition.
👏 We applaud and appreciate their experience and sound decision-making, which undoubtedly contributed to an improved outcome for the patient. Their dedication to providing top-notch care exemplifies the highest standards of our department.
