🏅 On 2/12/24, these dedicated Firefighter/Medics were honored for their exceptional service to the community. They were lauded for their high-quality prehospital trauma and cardiac care, which directly resulted in a positive outcome for a patient in need.
During a recent emergency call involving a burn victim, their keen assessment skills went above and beyond. Recognizing signs and symptoms of a stroke, they made the swift and critical decision to divert to Cleveland Clinic Akron General, a facility specialized in stroke care. This decisive action ensured the patient received the priority and specialized treatment necessary for their condition.
👏 We applaud and appreciate their experience and sound decision-making, which undoubtedly contributed to an improved outcome for the patient. Their dedication to providing top-notch care exemplifies the highest standards of our department.
